Alan Derric's sculptures are studies in contrast. The subjects are small, airy, and intricately patterened feathers seen in nature. To capture their beauty and lightness, Alan Derrick selects an unlikely and challenging medium - steel sheet metal - which embellishes the layers of color. The result is a shimmering three-dimensional portrayal of the patterns, textures, and colors that made the original feather unique. These are one-of-a-kind sculptures. 50% of proceeds go to World Parrot Trust parrot conservation projects.
