When you purchase these hand-carved parrots you will help support communities that once harvested parrots. Carved from natural balata, commonly know as latex, these detailed parrot sculptures provide income for some of the poverty stricken indigenous people of Guyana that may otherwise be trapping and selling parrots into the bird trade.
